Description

  • Target audience?

This course is addressed to all levels, especially beginners, advanced students, and anyone who aspires to a professional career in fine arts, architecture, or applied arts.

  • Academic year/Holidays:

Classes will run yearly from September until July 31st. There will be two weeks of Christmas holidays and one week of Easter holidays.

  • Duration/commitment:

A 3-hour weekly class covers the foundation drawing and painting syllabus monthly. We recommend a minimum commitment of 3 months(12-13 weeks) for all beginners. During this period, you will cover the foundational aspects of Drawing and Painting. In the last week, you will have a full review and assessment of your work. This process will help reinforce and cultivate your critical view.

  • Attendance capacity:

Classes are limited to a maximum attendance of 8-10 students. The students’ levels will be mixed, thus offering further development opportunities through a collaborative spirit and the advantage of observing more advanced artworks.

  • Timetable:

You will choose a one-time slot from the following days:

Tuesdays: 10-1 pm, 2-5 pm, 6-9 pm

Wednesdays: 10-1 pm, 2-5 pm, 6-9 pm

  • Structure of the classes:

Each class session is structured to provide a comprehensive learning experience. It begins with your teacher’s 20 to 30-minute demonstration of the theoretical/technical background, emphasizing the key elements of form, tonal values, colour, texture, proportion, and abstract perception. Following the demonstration, there will be a 15-minute Q&A session. The remaining time is dedicated to your practice. Your tutor provides continuous feedback, corrections, and regular revisions of the theoretical material. While you practice, your tutor will constantly provide feedback and corrections for the rest of the class. The theoretical material will be frequently revised. As a result, everyone benefits, whether beginner or advanced. The last 10-15 minutes will be dedicated to cleaning your materials to assist with the schedule. Students are responsible for their materials and must take them home. We will store only their drawings or paintings for the time needed to finish them.
