Welcome to Drawing Values! These Terms and Conditions outline the rules for using our art classes. By signing up for our courses, you agree to follow these rules. If you disagree with them, please do not subscribe.

2. Life Drawing Untutored Classes

• Overview:

  Life drawing untutored classes allow participants to practice their drawing skills in the presence of a live model without formal instruction. These sessions are open to artists of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced.

• Participation Requirements:

  – Participants must be at least 18 years old to attend untutored sessions.
  All participants must bring drawing materials, including sketch pads, pencils, charcoal, or paints. We will provide easels, seating, mounting boards, and aprons.

• Conduct Guidelines:

  – Respect for the model is paramount; participants must maintain a professional demeanour throughout the session.
  – Disruptive behaviour, including excessive noise or inappropriate comments, will not be tolerated. In the event of such behaviour, participants may be asked to leave without a refund.

• Model’s Comfort and Privacy:

  – Each model has the right to set their boundaries regarding poses and duration. Participants should respect these boundaries at all times.
  Photography or video recording of the model during these sessions is strictly prohibited unless the model gives explicit prior consent.

• Session Structure:

  – Each untutored session will have a specified start and end time, typically lasting three hours. Participants must arrive at least 10 minutes early to set up their station.
  – Sessions may include a variety of poses, varying in time length (for example, quick poses or longer poses), at the model’s discretion.
  – Additionally, there will be poses that last for a month, allowing participants to deeply engage with the form and explore their creativity.

• Liability Waiver:

  – By participating in life drawing untutored classes, you agree to release Drawing Values from any liability regarding injury or accidents that may occur during the session.

• Feedback and Concerns:

  We encourage participants to provide feedback about their experience in untutored sessions to help us improve future classes. If you have any concerns or suggestions, please use our website’s contact form.

3. Subscription Details:

• Pricing:

The adult subscription costs £260 per month plus a one-time registration fee of £26 for those with an active subscription. The fee covers high-quality services, operational costs, and ongoing improvements. Discounts are only available if specifically mentioned. If you start your subscription in the middle of the month, we’ll adjust your first payment accordingly. Subscription prices will be updated for the weeks missed during the Christmas and Easter holiday periods.

• How to cancel your subscription.

   • Click on the Subscriptions menu item
   • Click View next to the respective subscription
   • Click the Cancel action button

• Duration:

You will be billed on the first day of each month.

• Renewal Policy:

You must renew your subscription manually and make cancellations 15 days in advance.

• Access to Content:

After purchasing a specific daytime slot subscription, you can join classes starting on the next available day and time. For example, if your subscription begins on a Friday and your class of choice is scheduled for the following Wednesday, you will be automatically enrolled at that specific day and time. You can sign up through our website, and classes are held in our art studio at 1-27 Rodney Place, Studio 1, SE17 1PP in London. We run our classes yearly from September to July 31st, excluding two weeks of Christmas holidays and one of Easter Holidays.

4. Cancellation and refund policy:

At Drawing Values, we understand that circumstances may arise that could affect your ability to attend classes. However, as a small business, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations or missed classes due to the costs associated with booking models and operating the studio. If you wish to cancel your subscription, please inform us at least 15 days in advance. While we cannot guarantee a make-up class for missed sessions, we will try to accommodate you by allowing you to join another class within the same week, subject to availability. Your understanding and compliance with our cancellation and refund policies are greatly appreciated, as they help us maintain the quality of our services.

5. Guidelines for Engaging with Drawing Values

• Use of Materials:

We provide materials such as an easel, a mounting board (50×70 cm), a measuring tool, and an apron. We also have plaster casts and still-life items. Please handle all materials carefully; you will be charged extra if you damage them. You must bring your supplies as other materials are not included in the subscription. • Content Ownership:

All materials presented in our classes—like videos, lectures, and other intellectual property—belong to Drawing Values. You are not allowed to record or take photos without permission.

• Limitations of Liability:

Drawing Values is not responsible for any results from our classes or content usage. We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, abusive behaviour, or misconduct in our classes and community forums. Please note that cancelling a subscription under these circumstances will not qualify for a refund.

• User Conduct:

We expect subscribers to behave respectfully during classes and in community forums. When a model is present for posing, it is crucial to act appropriately. Disrespectful behaviour toward the model is unacceptable and affects everyone’s learning experience.

• Data Protection:

We will collect and protect your data according to our privacy policy, which can be viewed on our website for more details.

• Changes to Terms:

We can change these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will inform you of updates via email or our website. If you continue using our services after the changes, you agree to the new Terms.
